Chef Bijou is the owner and founder of Bijou Food Events, located in central Ohio. She developed her passion for the culinary sciences at the tender age of 10. She started her journey in Cameroon, as her father was a renowned hotelier. Prior to migrating to the United States, Chef Bijou earned a degree in the food and hospitality sciences and always aspired to open her own restaurant/catering business.
Chef Bijou came to the United states when she was 28 years old and started her career as a nurse. Although she enjoyed the field of nursing, her zeal and enthusiasm for cooking has never waned. Chef Bijou did not lose sight of her love for cooking and have been a constant fixture within the Cameroonian community.
She has catered various events to include weddings, baptisms, graduations and more. She also has weekly made to order menus that allow clients to sample some of her well known dishes. Her style of cooking spans both traditional and contemporary cuisine and she hopes to share these dishes on a multicultural platform.
